Mitchell Lions Club 100 Year Celebration
On November 17, 2022, the Mitchell Lions Club celebrated their 100 years since being chartered. We had a great celebration with an outpouring of support from the other Lions clubs and the Mitchell Community. Included below is the program, presentation material, invitation flyer, and photos of the evening. Thanks for all who planned the event, contributed to the program, and attended.

2022-2023 Club Award Recipients
- The Palace City Lions Club donated $1000 to the Mitchell Lions Club. This was recognized as a Melvin Jones Award, which was presented by the Palace City Lions club in Lion Dave Jorgenson’s name.
- Verlin D. Lowrie Award for Outstanding Service in First Year Membership: Lions Joe & Julie Lichter
- Lion of the Year Award: Lion Bobbie Clark
- President’s Award: Lion Zach Flood
- Legacy Award: Lion Lyle Swenson
In addition, long time club member Lyle Swenson was recognized for his commitment to Lions so going forward the Lion of the Year is being named the Lyle Swenson Lion of the Year Award.
