Usable Glasses Give New Life

Refractive errors can be easily corrected with eyeglasses, yet millions living in low and middle income countries lack access to basic eye care services. Lions have recognized the urgent need for corrective lenses and collect usable glasses in their communities to support the Lions Recycle For Sight Program.

Mitchell Lions and Palace City Lions have worked closely with Mitchell area businesses and churches to provide collection sites for eyeglasses.  We thank our Mitchell organizations for supporting this program.

Please note, we accept Hearing aids along with eyeglasses and these are collected in the same collection sites and containers.

Mitchell Lions Club Pancake Jamboree

Join us for our annual event supporting sight and community service assistance programs.  We have good food, fun live entertainment, and door prizes.

Lake Mitchell Trash Clean-up

This project is a service project to help keep Lake Mitchell beautiful.  This project is done in cooperation with the Mitchell Parks & Recreation Department to clean up trash after Independence Day.  The public enjoys lighting their fireworks around the lake which can cause a big mess.  The Lions club picks up the debris and restores the lake beaches and parks.
